Zane Grey (1872-1939) wrote 90 books and was one of the first million dollar authors.  He is best known for his westerns, which were instrumental  in cementing the 20th Century ideal of the 19th Century American frontier.  This is a 1924 Grosset & Dunlap budget reissue (with original dust cover) of “Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon: A Zane Grey Story for Boys,” originally published  by Harper & Brothers in 1922.  The book is based on notes Grey made of real mountain lion hunting trips he took to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in 1907-1908.
